Coolest Kid On The [Color] Block

Color blocking certainly isn't a new trend - but it's reinvented itself and is back this season better than ever. A simple and stylish way to have some fun with color, you can go bright without looking like you stepped off the set of It's A Small World at Disneyland.

Want to try this trend? These are a some of my top picks...

What are your thoughts on color blocking? Do you like the bright or neutral styles best?

Meet today's featured sponsor, the delightful Emily from A Devine Life

Emily adores fashion and all things girly and from the moment I saw her twirling in tulle, I thought she was an absolute doll! I always have a little wardrobe envy when I see her outfits (Emily, if you're free one day I'd love to come and play dress-ups!) She has fab style, I'm talking polka dots, chambray and bright heels (ok, I think I just listed every trend of the moment right there). Sometimes when I read Emily's blog, I think of Becky Bloomwood from Confessions of a Shopaholic. I think it's because Emily got a pair of hot pink heels at a crazy Macy's sale for $15!

Oh and if you're into sequins, stripes and love the summer (hello, who doesn't?!), you might want to check out Emily's look here - it's such a super cute outfit!

To discover more about Emily, visit A Devine Life or go say hi on Twitter and Facebook!

Happy Monday to you all - have a fantastic day! Oh and I'd love to hear your thoughts on color blocking, is this a look you'd do?

  1. I was a fan of the bright color blocking but now I'm more a fan of the neutrals! Black and brown used to be off limits in days past and now it's a go :) I love that combo.

  11. Ok, so I had to leave your site, purchase the clutch (orange and blue combo) and come back to thank you for finding this for me, Lol!!! I needed to add a few envelope clutches to my collection... and whatdoyaknow, you found the perfect one that suits my personality and my newly found obsession with orange. It's really affordable too- Ha, I just wanna kiss ya! Thx

BTW, depending on my mood, I like color blocking with both brights and neutrals :) Great post and feature- I too like her polka dots and neon combo- it's a really cute look

  12. I love the colorblock trend of wearing a solid color top and solid colored bottoms in different shades, but this new idea of colorblocking on one item seriously rocks my socks! If that J.Crew colorblocked button down magically appeared on my door step, I wouldn't question a thing!
